Creative Content Academy Board Member Agreement
This agreement is made between Creative Content Academy (CCA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and [Board Member Name] (the “Board Member”). By signing this agreement, the Board Member agrees to uphold the mission, responsibilities, and commitments outlined herein.
I. Mission Statement
Creative Content Academy is committed to empowering underserved women and young adults by providing education and training in digital content creation, business development, and social media entrepreneurship. The Board of Directors plays a vital role in ensuring the success, sustainability, and expansion of the Academy’s mission.
II. Board Member Responsibilities
1. Governance & Oversight
Board Members will:
• Uphold the mission, bylaws, and values of Creative Content Academy.
• Attend at least four (4) board meetings per year (virtual or in-person).
• Participate in committee work and strategic planning to enhance the Academy’s programs.
• Maintain compliance with nonprofit financial, legal, and ethical standards.
2. Advocacy & Strategic Partnerships
Board Members will:
• Use their experience, expertise, and connections to advance CCA’s mission.
• Introduce CCA to potential partners, industry experts, and corporate sponsors.
• Represent CCA at networking events, conferences, and public engagements.
• Promote the Academy’s programs through word-of-mouth, social media, and professional networks.
3. Advisory Support & Program Development
Board Members are NOT required to fundraise or donate personally but are expected to support CCA’s sustainability by:
• Offering strategic guidance on program development and curriculum improvements.
• Advising on partnerships that could benefit CCA students and initiatives.
• Providing mentorship for Academy participants (if applicable).
• Helping to secure guest speakers, industry mentors, or internship opportunities for students.
4. Strengthening the Academy’s Training & Learning Environment
Board Members recognize that Creative Content Academy (CCA) provides hands-on training opportunities for participants. As part of their leadership role, they may:
• Advise on ways to enhance the learning experience for CCA participants.
• Help establish strategic partnerships that benefit the Academy’s training efforts.
• Ensure program spaces, including training environments, remain aligned with CCA’s mission.
5. Commitment & Accountability
To ensure effective board service, members are expected to:
• Actively participate in board meetings, strategic planning, and program discussions.
• Provide insight and expertise that contributes to the Academy’s growth and sustainability.
• Maintain professionalism, integrity, and transparency in all board-related activities.
6. Term & Commitment
• Board Members serve an initial term of two (2) years, with an option to renew.
• If unable to fulfill responsibilities, Board Members may resign with 30 days’ written notice.
• The Board reserves the right to request the resignation of members who are inactive or unable to contribute meaningfully to CCA’s growth.
7. Confidentiality & Conflict of Interest
• Board Members must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial, strategic, and personnel information.
• Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed and documented in board meetings.
• Board Members may not use their position for personal or business gain unless approved by the Board.
8. Agreement & Signature
By signing below, I acknowledge that I understand and agree to the responsibilities outlined above as part of my role as a Board Member of Creative Content Academy.
